08 April 2008: The North West Area are pleased to announce that the promotion examination on 11 May 2008 will still take place. This will be the last competitive grading which the area will hold. We hope to see you all there for what will be, for many judokas, the end of an era.
01 April 2008: New Technical Grading Scheme. Are you aware that you no longer have to compete to rise through the ranks of Judo? The new Technical Grading system has been announced by the BJA and became effective from 1st April 2008. An FAQ is available here. As well as this FAQ, the BJA have published the new Junior Syllabus and the Senior Syllabus.

11 June 2007: Calling all officials - are you available on Saturday 30 June to officiate at the Greater Manchester Youth Games. This event will run across 3 mat areas and will be held at the Tennis Centre, Sport City, Manchester. Expenses, refreshments and a polo-shirt will be provided.
